Mrs. Caseres has been a Special Education teacher at Santee for eight years. She holds two undergraduate degrees from Bicol University Philippines and University of Memphis in addition to a Master of Arts in Educational Management with additional course work for special education kids. She is also the Advisor of the Circle Of Friends, Santee’s program that brings together special education students with general education students. Her passion for teaching was ignited at a very early age because many of her immediate family members have pursued careers in education. When she's not teaching she loves spending time reading, gardening and photography. Mrs. Caseres believes very strongly that teaching is the most exciting career anyone could pursue, and she enjoys working with young people to help them learn. One of Mrs. Caseres’ favorite quotes is from Henry Wadsworth Long fellow who wrote, “The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.” It’s a message Ms. Caseres shares with her students every day.
