Attention Seniors! Health Workshop

Those of you that still need health, please sign up in the Counseling Center. There will be one this Saturday, December 8 from 8:30-1PM. See Ms. Jovel for more details. This is the last health workshop of the semester.

School Experience Survey: To be done Period 8 on Nov 15 and Nov 16

Student surveys may only be completed online. Students in grades 4 through 12 will click the appropriate student survey link at:

Teachers should budget about 45 minutes to obtain and distribute 10‐digit student IDs, and to administer the survey. The student survey will take roughly 30 minutes to complete online. The survey is compatible with smart phones, iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and desktops, etc.

Mission Statement

Santee Education Complex is committed to providing students with a rigorous education that prepares each and every student for college and career. To accomplish this we make sure to reach out to our families and partners in order to help support all students in meeting their goals.

Social Programs and Athletics at Santee

Social and Athletics programs at Santee include Leadership Classes, Culinary and Gardening, a pool, 18 athletic teams, Cheer National Champs, and 10 student clubs.


"Resources offered on the Santee campus include City Year tutoring, World Fit For Kids tutoring, Communities in Schools, Escalante Math Tutoring, Upward Bound, AVID, Cal State LA SLAM Stats Program for early Credit, LATTC Early Registration, five academic counselors and one college advisor, and several leadership teams.

Success of AP Program

The number of students enrolled in AP courses, the number of students taking AP exams, and the number of passing scores has risen by 166% since 2010. Santee faculty embraces AP expansion, AP workshops, parent workshops, and after-school and weekend AP tutoring.
The ONLY LAUSD “Rewards High School” in South L.A. because of 8 consecutive years of great API success. Highest SBAC Scores in South L.A. compared to all other Comprehensive High Schools.
